In addition, this position will be monitoring and tending the Sports and Fitness amenities and its inclusions within the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC). This position holds a high level of responsibility within the operations of the Sport &amp; Recreation Department and must demonstrate an exemplary level of customer service.</p><p><b>Your Responsibilities</b></p><p>•<span> </span>Responsible for the administration of the department, including check-ins of customers, data entry, daily reports, and bookings.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Responsible for set up and take down of sport and fitness equipment and supplies.</p><p>•<span> </span>Support with the creation of new programming</p><p>•<span> </span>Deliver and support with programs, tournaments, leagues, and events.</p><p>•<span> </span>Provide exemplary customer service by assisting patrons with general enquires.</p><p>•<span> </span>Processes point of sale (POS) payments and sales in a friendly and efficient manner, modelling accuracy, upselling techniques, and proper cash handling skills.</p><p>•<span> </span>Promote classes, programming, and services.</p><p>•<span> </span>Cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment and supplies.</p><p>•<span> </span>Ensuring all the RRC policies and procedures are adhered to in a safe and secure environment.</p><p>•<span> </span>Establishes and maintains a cooperative/collaborative working relationship with other departments and Rural Facilities within the RRC through positive actions and communication.</p><p>•<span> </span>All other duties as assigned.</p><p>•<span> </span>Rural Facilities:</p><p>•<span> </span>May be responsible for the development, administration, delivery, and support of rural programming &amp; events as necessary to meet community needs. The Horticulturist is responsible for the planting of annuals and perennials in all pots and flower beds around the island. This position is also responsible for the safe application of pesticides to trees, shrubs, ornamental plants and other areas requiring applications. Tree planting and maintenance is an integral part of this position. Landscape design and installation is the responsibility of the horticulturist. Under the direction of the Manager of Golf and Grounds Maintenance this position will also carry out maintenance related tasks such as mowing, garbage pickup, and small hand tool use.&nbsp; This position will assist the Supervisors and Team Leads of the department with larger projects and applications such as greens aeration, special event setup and sod laying.
